Yokohama City Exhibition Participation Cost Subsidy

①Overview: The Yokohama City Exhibition Participation Cost Subsidy supports SMEs affected by changes in Middle East affairs, U.S. tariff measures, or the Nissan Motor management restructuring, by subsidizing part of the cost of exhibition participation for sales channel development, aiming to strengthen the management foundation and competitiveness of city SMEs. ②Eligible applicants: SMEs that satisfy: (1) Yokohama operating location continuously for ≥12 months; (2) affected by US tariffs (5%+ sales/margin decline), Nissan restructuring, or Middle East situation; (3) project for sales-channel expansion of in-house developed/manufactured products; (4) registered/published on the city's Zero-Carbon Initiative Declaration; (5) Yokohama tax payer without delinquency; (6) compliance with related laws. Excluded: adult entertainment, deemed-large enterprises, political/economic/cultural and religious organizations. ③Eligible expenses & benefit content: Eligible exhibitions must satisfy ALL of: (1) business-meeting oriented (not sales-event), (2) held in Japan (not web-only), (3) generally open to public, (4) previous edition had ≥800 exhibitors or ≥15,000 visitors, (5) approved by mayor. Eligible costs: booth fee, construction/decoration, equipment lease, electricity, transport. Consumption tax excluded. Transactions with directors' related companies excluded. ④Rate, ceiling, schedule, application pointers: Rate 1/2 (Yokohama Grand Slam companies 2/3), ceiling JPY 300,000. One application per business per fiscal year. Expenses paid within one year before application date may be eligible. Project implementation must be after the grant decision date. Application via electronic system, mail, or in-person. Zero-Carbon Initiative Declaration is a prerequisite. Reception opens 2026-04-22.
