Yamagata FY2026 Support Program for Creating Yamagata Delicious Products

This Yamagata Prefecture program supports farmers, forest owners, fishers and producer-led organizations that develop five-year sixth-sector industrialization projects using Yamagata agricultural, forestry and fishery products or other local resources. Eligible projects must aim to at least double output value and include at least one additional numerical target. Support is for machinery, equipment and the minimum facility renovation needed to introduce them, directly linked to the project goals. Simple replacement, production or livestock-rearing machinery, leased machinery and office communication devices are excluded. The project cost must be at least 2 million yen, eligible machinery should generally be at least 300,000 yen per unit, and machinery or renovated facilities should generally have a useful life of at least five years. The subsidy rate is up to one third. Eligible expense cap is 15 million yen, so the maximum calculated subsidy amount is 5 million yen. Applications are due at the relevant general branch office by June 19, 2026, via the municipality where the project is implemented.
