Tokyo: “Unique Benew Trial Support Project” ≪2nd≫ (FY2019)

This Tokyo Metropolitan Government program supports event hosting at unique venues to promote tourism and regional revitalization by leveraging distinctive locations throughout Tokyo. Eligible applicants are corporations and NPOs operating in Tokyo, with the requirement that events be held in characteristic facilities or spaces rather than conventional venues. The subsidy covers up to 2/3 of eligible costs, with maximum amounts determined by FY2024 Round 2 guidelines; eligible expenses include event planning, operations, and promotional costs. Key requirements include using recognized unique venue facilities and demonstrating capacity to attract tourists and visitors to the event. As a priority initiative in Tokyo's tourism strategy, projects with strong potential to increase domestic and international visitor numbers are favored in selection.
