Tokyo: Support Project for the Environment Maintenance of Unique Venues
Summary
This Tokyo Metropolitan Government program supports facility owners and operators to improve reception environments at unique venues (castles, gardens, factories, and other non-traditional event spaces) for international conferences and large-scale events. Eligible organizations are corporations and NPOs that own or manage unique venue facilities and can demonstrate feasibility of reception and equipment upgrades. Support covers facility improvements including accessibility upgrades, multilingual systems, audio-visual equipment, and catering facilities, with an expected subsidy rate of approximately 50%. Key evaluation criteria include proven MICE track records, strategic plans for international conference attraction, and venue differentiation. As the first call of fiscal 2024, this initiative accelerates Tokyo's tourism competitiveness and international conference/major event attraction.
