This is a Tokyo Metropolitan subsidy program designed to promote agricultural producers' conversion to environmentally sustainable farming methods that reduce environmental impact. The program supports the adoption of organic cultivation, integrated pest management techniques, and other eco-friendly farming practices through equipment installation and technical training, with the goal of establishing sustainable agricultural management. Eligible applicants include certified farmers and agricultural corporations operating in Tokyo with demonstrated agricultural management track records. Subsidizable expenses include machinery and equipment, seedlings, fertilizers, and technical training fees, with subsidy rates generally ranging from 50% to 67% depending on the business content. Submission of an environmental conversion plan and preliminary consultation with Tokyo Metropolitan Government are mandatory requirements, with selection determined through official coordination. New conversion farmers in fiscal year 2023 and beyond receive special bonus points, making early application particularly advantageous.
