Telework & Office Work Best Balance Promotion Project (Telework Settlement Reinforcement Incentive)
Summary
(1) Overview: Tokyo Metropolitan Government launches the Telework Settlement Reinforcement Incentive in FY2026 to promote telework adoption among Tokyo SMEs, asking them to formulate their own 'Telework Rules (Our Best Balance)'. (2) Eligible: Tokyo-based mid-sized and small enterprises with 2-999 regularly employed workers. Registration on the 'Telework Tokyo Rules' practicing-company My Page and mandatory online training for project team members are required. (3) Scope: All five steps must be completed in order — 1) employee survey; 2) project team set-up & solutions (online training mandatory); 3) trial/verify; 4) revise; 5) internal communication. An add-on applies when companies introduce systems easing unfairness felt by non-teleworkers (flexible hours, commuting allowance).
