Subsidy to Promote Enrollment in the Agricultural Revenue Insurance System

① Overview: Izumi City subsidizes first-time enrollment in agricultural revenue insurance. The insurance covers unavoidable farm income decreases from disasters, price declines, illness, planting failure,. Support runs fiscal 2025 to fiscal 2029. ② Eligible applicants: Applicants must be individuals in Izumi City or corporations with a principal office there. They must newly enroll in revenue insurance and have no tax arrears. The insurance requires blue tax filing. ③ Eligible cost: The eligible cost is the non-refundable insurance premium portion. The subsidy applies the annual rate and rounds down fractions under 1,000 yen. Enrollment may require an application, farm plan, and tax documents. ④ Rate and application: Year one is up to one-half, capped at 160,000 yen. Years two and three are up to one-third, capped at 100,000 yen. Procedures are handled through Kagoshima Agricultural Mutual Aid Association as agent and submitted to the Hokushu Branch Izumi Office.
