1. Program Overview This subsidy helps employers introduce workplace measures for foreign workers and improve retention. It is paid after an approved plan is implemented. 2. Eligible Applicants Applicants must be employment-insurance employers that properly file foreign employment notifications and employ eligible foreign workers. Large companies and SMEs may use it if requirements are met. 3. Eligible Costs and Supported Measures Required measures are an employment and labor manager and multilingual workplace rules. One selected measure is also needed: consultation system, return-home leave, or multilingual manuals and signs. Eligible costs include interpretation, translation, professional fees, sign work, and translation-device costs. 4. Rate, Ceiling, Schedule, and Application Points The standard subsidy is one-half of eligible costs, capped at 570,000 yen. With the wage requirement, the rate is two-thirds and ceiling is 720,000 yen. The plan period is three months to one year.
