Subsidy for purchase of apple mating-disruption agent (Confuser R)
Summary
1) Overview: Fujisaki Town (Aomori Prefecture) operates the Apple Codling-Moth Special Control Project, subsidizing purchases of the pheromone-based mating-disruption agent 'Confuser R' installed for the Reiwa-8 (2026) apple growing season. The goal is to reduce dependence on chemical pesticides, promote environmentally friendly orchard management, and ease the cost burden on town apple growers. 2) Eligibility: Applicants must satisfy ALL of the following: (a) be an apple grower, apple joint-control cooperative, or production corporation with an address within Fujisaki Town; (b) intend to continue installing Confuser R for at least three consecutive years. Growers who purchase via JA Tsugaru Hirosaki, JA Tsugaru Mirai, or Koka Butsuryu Co., Ltd. do NOT need to apply individually — those vendors file batch applications on the grower's behalf. 3) Eligible expenses and contents: The pre-tax purchase price of Confuser R units installed for the Reiwa-8 growing season. At application the grower must bring documents proving purchase price, quantity and delivery date (delivery slip, receipt, etc.), the bankbook for subsidy transfer, and a personal seal (mitomein acceptable). 4) Rate, ceiling, schedule and application tips: Subsidy rate is up to one-quarter (25%) of the pre-tax purchase cost, with a unit cap of 2,600 yen per bundle (50-stick unit). Applications accepted through Friday, October 30, 2026 (excluding weekends, public holidays and the year-end/new-year period). Contact: Fujisaki Town Agricultural Policy Division (tel. 0172-88-8273). Plan a multi-year installation strategy in advance.
