Startup Assist Incentive Grant

1. Program overview: Tamano City's Startup Assist Incentive Grant supports new shops and businesses opened in the city and aims to create attractive local commerce. Eligible sectors include information services, retail, lodging and food services. 2. Eligible applicants: The program targets new founders in Tamano. Individuals must have a city address, and corporations must place their head office in the city. Applicants need a viable plan, permits, chamber or commerce association membership, startup training, no city tax arrears and a five-year outlook. 3. Eligible content: This is a fixed incentive, not expense reimbursement. The business plan asks for the startup motive, strengths, market size, sales strategy, management structure, grant use and financing plan. 4. Amount and schedule: The basic grant amount is JPY150,000. Applications are accepted from April 1, 2026 until the end of February 2027, or earlier when the budget is exhausted.
