SME Recruitment Capability Enhancement Subsidy (Yokosuka City)

This subsidy is operated by Yokosuka City (Kanagawa Prefecture) to support recruitment activities of small and medium-sized enterprises located in the city. It subsidizes the renovation of recruitment websites and the production of recruitment videos, with the aim of strengthening SMEs' hiring capabilities and contributing to regional economic vitality. Applications are submitted via the e-kanagawa electronic application system, with PC operation recommended. The scheme is a prior-application type, meaning approval must be obtained before content implementation. Eligible applicants are SMEs with a place of business in Yokosuka City that have, within the past three years, participated in joint corporate hiring fairs hosted by Yokosuka City and are registered on the city's recruitment site "Gokinjobu Yokosuka." Additional requirements include being a first-time applicant for this subsidy, having no municipal tax arrears, not being affiliated with organized crime, not primarily engaging in political, religious, or adult-entertainment businesses, and not receiving other national/prefectural/municipal subsidies for the same expense. Sole proprietors must hold a resident certificate in the city at the time of application. Eligible expenses are the purchase costs of recruitment-related content such as recruitment website renovation or recruitment video production. Amounts are calculated on a tax-excluded basis with the sub-thousand-yen portion rounded down. PR videos for the company's own products unrelated to hiring, or mere general website overhauls, are not eligible. Applicants must submit a Business Plan (Recruitment Capability Enhancement) demonstrating the rationale and expected effects. The subsidy rate is up to one-half (1/2) of eligible expenses, with an upper limit of 100,000 yen. Each business may apply only once. The application proceeds in two stages: prior application (May 1 2026 to February 1 2027 17:00) and post-implementation completion report (after grant decision to March 1 2027 17:00). Applications are processed in order of receipt and close once the budget cap is reached, so early submission is advised.
