Sendai City Research Complex-Related Base Relocation Subsidy

Sendai City Research Complex Base Relocation Subsidy covers relocation costs for Deep Tech startups opening a new base in designated city districts, supporting the Research Complex (Tohoku Univ./NanoTerasu). Eligible: Deep Tech startups (SMEs commercializing natural-science discoveries), <15 years old as of Apr 1, no Sendai base, relocating into the Urban Renewal Emergency Area, Tohoku Univ. Aobayama/Seiryo/Katahira districts, or a Sendai Wet-Lab facility. Excluded: one large enterprise >=1/2 capital, large enterprises >=2/3, or officers >=1/2 of board. Eligible expenses: removal, transport, installation of equipment, fixtures and supplies from outside- to inside-city base, plus Mayor-approved transport. Other-subsidized costs excluded. Rate 1/2, cap JPY 2,000,000. FY2026: ~2 grants first-come.
