Semiconductor Human Resource Development Support Subsidy
Summary
This Miyazaki Prefecture subsidy supports semiconductor human resource development carried out by universities and colleges of technology as part of their curricula. It is designed to help secure and train personnel for semiconductor-related industries in the prefecture by supporting courses, practical training, lectures, facility visits, and other education-related initiatives connected to semiconductor talent development. Eligible applicants are universities and colleges of technology defined under Article 1 of the School Education Act and located in Miyazaki Prefecture. They must have no unpaid prefectural taxes, must comply with individual inhabitant tax special collection requirements where applicable, and must not have officers or members connected to organized crime groups. Applicants that the governor considers unsuitable for support are also excluded. Eligible projects are semiconductor human resource development projects implemented by universities and colleges as part of their curricula, including related activities. Eligible costs include lecturer honoraria, lecturer travel expenses, venue rental, bus rental, consumables, and other expenses deemed appropriate by the governor. Application documents include the grant application form, project plan, budget statement, tax certificate, special collection confirmation or pledge, and anti-organized-crime pledge. The subsidy is a fixed-amount grant with a maximum of JPY 1,000,000 per project. The total budget is within JPY 1,500,000. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and close when the budget ceiling is reached; no fixed application deadline is published. The project period runs from the grant decision date to March 31, 2027. A performance report is due within 30 days after completion or by April 20 of the following fiscal year, whichever comes first.
