Summary

1. Overview: This Saitama Prefecture subsidy supports farmers who introduce smart agriculture technologies suited to their own farm management in order to increase revenue under prolonged price inflation. Eligible technologies are agricultural machinery or agricultural software incorporating smart agriculture technology. Before filing the grant application, applicants must undergo the designated management diagnosis and confirm that the planned investment is expected to increase revenue. 2. Eligible applicants: Eligible applicants are farmers with an address in Saitama Prefecture or agricultural corporations whose principal office is in Saitama Prefecture. They must have a clear intention regarding how the smart agriculture equipment will improve revenue, have filed a tax return including agricultural business in the immediately preceding fiscal period, and retain the tax return copy and supporting evidence such as receipts or ledgers. A diagnosis report confirming likely revenue increase is also required. 3. Eligible costs: Covered costs include purchases of smart agriculture machinery or software, required accessories or attachments that cannot be used independently, and license acquisition costs when purchasing an agricultural drone. Installation, initial adjustment, registration, and bundled spare batteries may be included. Consumption tax is excluded, and projects with total costs below 550,000 yen including tax are ineligible. 4. Rate, cap, schedule, and application points: The subsidy rate is up to two-thirds and the maximum amount is 14,000,000 yen. The official page states the planned management diagnosis deadline as June 12, 2026 and the planned grant application deadline as July 10, 2026, so the program is open as of May 25, 2026. Delivery, payment, and performance reporting must be completed by March 19, 2027. Required attachments include the diagnosis report, catalog or specification materials, and quotations; two quotations are required for new items when the subsidy amount is at least 2,000,000 yen.
