Summary

(1) Overview: Saitama Pref. subsidy for SMEs installing CO2-cutting energy-saving/renewable-energy equipment. FY2025 supplementary-budget Emergency Frame; JPY 2B total (JPY 900M for prior recipients). (2) Applicants: Private businesses (corporations/sole proprietors) operating 1+ year at a Saitama site. Corporations must be SMEs (SME Basic Act Art.2(1)). Medical/school/social-welfare corporations and NPOs OK; white-form sole proprietors OK. No prefectural-tax arrears; not primarily religious/political; not a FY2026 Smart CO2 Subsidy recipient; no organized-crime ties. (3) Expenses: Eligible costs JPY 600,000+, five categories: (i) renewable energy (solar PV needs battery); (ii) high-efficiency low-CO2-fuel equipment; (iii) replacing 15+ year-old equipment with high-efficiency models; (iv) distributed heat sources; (v) other governor-approved CO2 cuts. Excluded: oversized/used/general equipment, land, residential, LED, vehicles, removal, PPA, new builds, rentals. (4) Rate / cap / schedule: 1/2 rate (rounded to JPY 10K), capped at JPY 5M. E-applications open Mon 27 Apr 2026, first-come within budget; oversubscribed days by lottery. ~2.5 months to approval. No proxy (scriveners OK). No double-funding on same equipment. Pre-ordered projects ineligible. Saitama SDGs Declaration required by results-report deadline.
