Sagae City FY2026 Next-Generation Vehicle Purchase Subsidy

1. Overview: Sagae City’s FY2026 next-generation vehicle subsidy supports the purchase of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles as part of local climate action. It is a fixed-amount subsidy for individuals, sole proprietors, and corporations located in Sagae City that purchase eligible four-wheel vehicles during FY2026. 2. Eligible applicants: Applicants must have an address in Sagae City, be the owner and user of the subsidized vehicle, and have no city tax arrears. The vehicle inspection certificate must show the place of use as a city address, and the registration or certificate issuance date must fall between April 1, 2026 and March 31, 2027. 3. Eligible vehicle and documents: The vehicle must be newly purchased by the applicant, have a vehicle body price of at least 2 million yen, and be fully paid to the dealer. The application includes the combined grant application and performance report, residence certificate or corporate registration, tax certificate, vehicle inspection certificate, vehicle photo, catalog or specifications, contract/order documents, receipt, and bankbook copy. 4. Amount and schedule: This is not a rate-based subsidy. Ordinary EV/PHEV vehicles receive 50,000 yen without solar equipment and 100,000 yen with solar equipment. Light EV/PHEV vehicles receive 100,000 yen without solar equipment and 150,000 yen with solar equipment. Applications are accepted until March 31, 2027 on weekdays and may close when the budget is exhausted.
