(1) Overview: The Okayama Work Style Reform Promotion Support Grant is a prefectural top-up grant that supports SMEs in Okayama Prefecture which newly introduce teleworking and/or work-interval (kinmu-kan interval) systems by leveraging MHLW's FY R8 Work Style Reform Promotion Support Subsidy, in order to accelerate productivity gains and wage hikes amid labour shortages and inflation. (2) Eligible applicants: SMEs (as defined by the SME Support Act Art.2-1) with an establishment in Okayama Prefecture, that have applied to one of the three MHLW courses (industry-specific issues, working-hour reduction / annual leave promotion, or work-interval introduction) at the Okayama Labour Bureau and received a payment decision by 15 Jan R9. Founded on or before 1 Apr R8, not a deemed large enterprise, not affiliated with anti-social forces or adult-entertainment business, no outstanding prefectural taxes, and no labour-law violations in the past year. (3) Eligible expenses and benefits: Lump-sum payment per measure rather than expense-based subsidy. (a) Teleworking system introduction (newly introduced between 1 Apr R8 and 15 Jan R9 covering at least one worker) JPY 500,000; (b) Add-on for work-interval system introduction (same period, covering more than 1/4 of workers at the target establishment, without receiving the national interval-course subsidy) JPY 200,000. (4) Rate, cap, schedule, application tips: Maximum total JPY 700,000 (500k + 200k add-on). Application window: 2 Nov 2026 (Mon) 10:00 to 29 Jan 2027 (Fri) 17:00, first-come-first-served, electronic application via the secretariat. Submit Form No.1 plus latest financial statements, prefectural tax non-arrears certificate, anti-gang oath, copies of the national subsidy paperwork, work rules, workplace climate evidence and a survey.
