Summary
1. Overview: This is Oita City's FY2026 support program for SME business succession. It covers succession or M&A carried out with help from designated support organizations, and aims to strengthen local firms' continuity. 2. Eligible applicants: A transferor must be an SME with an Oita City residence and office, or a city head office or branch, and must have operated for at least one year. A transferee may be an SME or individual expected to establish the required city base by the report date. 3. Eligible expenses: Covered costs are outsourcing fees paid to professional providers. Examples include diagnosis, consulting, company profiles, plans, valuation, due diligence, contract drafting, M&A intermediary fees, matching fees, and registration-document preparation. 4. Rate, cap, and process: The subsidy rate is two thirds, capped at 500,000 yen per applicant per fiscal year. Application is before project start. After completion, payment evidence and proof of transfer are required.
