Niiza City Business Succession / M&A Support Subsidy
Summary
1) Overview: Niiza City's Business Succession / M&A Support Subsidy helps local SMEs prepare for smooth succession by subsidizing analysis, planning, company-valuation, and M&A intermediary costs. Applicants must first use the Saitama Business Succession & Takeover Support Center. 2) Eligible recipients: SMEs (corporations or sole proprietors) operating in Niiza City within the SME definition (e.g. Wholesale ≤100M JPY/100 staff; Retail incl. food ≤50M/50; Services ≤50M/100; Manufacturing/Construction/Transport ≤300M/300). Social welfare corporations, medical corporations, NPOs and general incorporated associations are excluded. Corporations may use it for internal or third-party succession; sole proprietors only for third-party succession. Municipal taxes must not be in arrears. 3) Eligible expenses: (a) issue analysis / consulting; (b) succession plan preparation; (c) company-valuation; (d) M&A buyer-search brokerage. M&A success fees (other than retainer) and mixed expenses are not covered; same expense cannot be double-funded with national/prefectural subsidies. 4) Rate / cap / schedule: 1/2 of eligible expenses (rounded down to 1,000 yen), cap 100,000 JPY. Apply by 26 Feb 2027; performance report by 31 Mar 2027; closes when budget is exhausted. Flow: Center → city application → approval → implement → performance report → amount confirmation → invoice → payment. Contracting before approval disqualifies the application; lifetime limit one subsidy per applicant.
