1) Overview: Nakatsu City subsidizes initial costs for new businesses utilizing vacant stores in the central shopping district, aiming to revitalize shopping streets and the central commercial area. Supports renovation costs for new entrants taking over vacant stores. 2) Eligible Applicants: New entrants utilizing vacant stores meeting all of: recommendation from local shopping district; operate 4+ days/week with 3+ hours within 11:00-16:00; no municipal tax delinquency; business plan reviewed by Nakatsu Chamber of Commerce; expected to operate 2+ years; renovation contractor has address/office in city; no other public subsidy for the renovation; no contrary use or subletting; not located in large-scale retail facilities. 3) Eligible Expenses: Store renovation costs - exterior/interior work, utility installation (water, electricity, gas, HVAC), design fees. Machinery, equipment, supplies are not covered. Application must be made before construction starts, with construction beginning only after the grant decision notification. 4) Subsidy Rate, Cap and Schedule: 1/2 rate, max ¥1,000,000.
