(1) Overview: Nagaizumi Town (Shizuoka) runs the Food-Waste Processing Equipment Installation Subsidy in FY2026 to cut food waste and promote on-site composting, via the town's Living Environment Section. (2) Eligible applicants: Residents of Nagaizumi Town and businesses with a place of business in town, who can self-process composted food waste (e.g., kitchen-garden use). Both individuals and corporations qualify. (3) Eligible equipment & expenses: Mechanical food-waste processors and composting containers. Eligible: unit price, gift-certificate portions, consumption tax. Excluded: discounts, shipping/handling, point/coupon use, consumables, extended-warranty insurance. (4) Rate, ceiling, schedule: Up to 1/2 of purchase, capped at JPY 10,000 (mechanical) / JPY 3,000 (compost bin). File within 30 days of purchase, or by March 10 of the FY, whichever is earlier.
