Solar equipment must be installed at a detached house or business site in the village or on the same site, and generated electricity must be self-consumed at required rates. FIT or FIP certification is not allowed, and replacement of existing equipment is excluded. Insulation renovation covers eligible improvements to existing village homes, including window upgrades and new insulation in roofs, attics, or floors. 4. Rate, cap, schedule, and application points: Residential solar equipment receives 100,000 yen per kW up to 500,000 yen, while business-site solar equipment receives 50,000 yen per kW up to 1,000,000 yen. Insulation renovation is subsidized at one half of eligible costs up to 300,000 yen. Amounts are tax-excluded and rounded down below 1,000 yen. Applicants must apply before installation or construction, submit completion reports within 30 days after completion or by fiscal year end, and keep related documents for five years.
