Summary

①Overview: The Mie Prefecture Work Style Reform Promotion Incentive supports small and medium-sized enterprises in Mie Prefecture that promote diverse work styles (such as short-time regular employee systems), build inclusive workplace environments, and encourage male employees to take childcare and nursing care leave. The program aims to advance work style reform and close the gender gap in the prefecture. ②Eligible Recipients: SMEs and small businesses registered as a "Mie Work Style Reform Promotion Company" in FY2025 or FY2026 that meet additional requirements. Applicants must cooperate with prefecture awareness activities, intend to continue business after the grant, not be a political/religious group, and not be associated with organized crime groups (boryokudan). ③Eligible Expenses / Content: Four courses are offered. (1) Short-time regular employee promotion course (A: JPY 300,000; B: JPY 200,000 for childcare short-time work; C: +JPY 100,000 for additional diverse work styles). (2) Inclusive workplace environment course (A–E each JPY 200,000; E women-only facility new construction up to 1/2 of expenses, capped JPY 200,000). (3) Male childcare leave promotion course (7+ days: JPY 100,000; 28+ days: JPY 300,000; 3+ months: JPY 500,000). (4) Nursing care leave course (5+ days: JPY 100,000; 1+ month: JPY 300,000). ④Rate, Cap, Schedule, Application Tips: Most awards are flat-rate; the largest single payment is JPY 500,000 for 3+ months male childcare leave. Application period: October 1, 2026 (Thu) through March 31, 2027 (Wed) 17:00 (postal arrival required). Submission ends earlier if budget is exhausted. Apply online or by mail to the Mie Prefecture Employment Policy Division. All documents in A4 size. Required forms include the Form No. 1 application, employment insurance establishment notification copy, company profile, work rules copy, and officer roster.
