Midori City Productivity Improvement Equipment Investment Support Subsidy
Summary
1) Overview: The Midori City Productivity Improvement Equipment Investment Support Subsidy is granted to SMEs and individual proprietors to promote regional industry revitalization through productivity-enhancing capital investment. Eligible items include manufacturing robots, 3D printers, ticket machines, IoT devices, digitalization of existing equipment, and labor-saving software (production, reservation, process, order, logistics management). The scheme runs under the grant outline effective April 1, 2026. 2) Eligible applicants: SMEs, small enterprises and individual proprietors as defined in Article 2 of the SME Basic Act with offices/factories in Midori City, having no municipal tax arrears, not excluded under the Midori City Anti-Organized-Crime Ordinance, not a political/religious organization, not in adult entertainment business, and not receiving any other municipal subsidy for the same capital investment. Each business may receive the subsidy only once. 3) Eligible expenses and content: Purchased equipment at a Midori City office, split into equipment (robots, 3D printers, ticket machines, IoT devices), software (production/reservation/process/order/logistics systems) and ancillary costs (installation, delivery, construction, accessories, setup). Excluded: general-purpose PCs/smartphones/tablets, real estate, rental, utilities, vehicle replacement, gift certificates, energy-saving equipment (HVAC, lighting, solar, batteries), consumables, entertainment, transfer fees, insurance, loan interest, in-house labor. Mere aged-equipment replacements without productivity gain are excluded. 4) Rate, cap, schedule and key points: Subsidy rate is two-thirds of eligible expenses. Cap: JPY 5,000,000 for manufacturing, JPY 1,000,000 for others (excluding agriculture/forestry); rounded down to nearest JPY 1,000. The subsidy period runs from grant decision through February 28, 2027 by which installation, payment and performance report must all be complete. Applications (Form 1) must be filed before project start with business plan, budget, quotation, photos, credentials, tax clearance, pledge and officers list. The performance report is due within 30 days of completion or fiscal year-end, whichever is earlier.
