Marugame City Industry Promotion Support Subsidy (FY2026)
Summary
(1) Overview: The Marugame City Industry Promotion Support Subsidy (FY2026) provides partial reimbursement for proactive business projects undertaken by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and SME groups located in Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture. Administered by the Industry & Tourism Division, applications are accepted on a rolling basis from April 1, 2026 until the annual budget is exhausted. (2) Eligibility: SMEs and SME groups whose registered address (head office or main place of business for corporations) is within Marugame City. Each business may apply for only one of the menus per year as a rule, except for exhibition projects co-hosted or recommended by the city. The menus of Human Resources Acquisition, HR Development, New Business Entry, Self-PR Tool Creation, Digitalization and Business Partnering are limited to one application per business over two consecutive fiscal years. The Carbon-Neutral menu may be applied for once per year in combination with another menu. (3) Eligible Expenses & Content: 15 menu categories — Workstyle Reform, HR Acquisition, Scholarship Repayment Support, HR Development, New Business Entry, Exhibition/Business-meeting Participation, Self-PR Tool Creation, Local-Product Development, IP-Rights Acquisition, Business Succession, BCP Formulation/Revision, Digitalization, SDGs, Carbon-Neutral and Business Partnering. Eligible costs include outsourcing fees, design/printing fees, exhibition fees, equipment lease, travel/transport, recruitment-media listing fees, expert honoraria, raw materials (for prototypes), marketing-research fees, advertising fees, patent application fees and seminar fees. Consumption tax and local consumption tax are NOT eligible. (4) Rate, Cap, Schedule & Tips: The subsidy rate and ceiling are defined per-menu by the Marugame Industry Promotion Support Subsidy Grant Regulations (the sample calculation shown in the official records uses 2/3). A prior application (Form 1: Grant Application, Form 2: Business Plan, Form 3: Budget) is mandatory before commencement — post-implementation applications are NOT eligible. Any change requires prior change-application. Results reports (Form 5: Results Report and Form 6: Settlement Statement) must be submitted by March 31, 2027 (end of FY2026). A follow-up status survey may be conducted within 5 years after grant.
