Summary

[1. Overview] The Marugame City Business Heatstroke Countermeasure Support Subsidy partially subsidizes expenses incurred by small and medium-sized enterprises and individual business operators in Marugame City for workplace heatstroke countermeasures. Following the June 1, 2025 mandate to implement heatstroke prevention measures, FY2026 applications are accepted on a rolling basis starting April 1, 2026 (Wednesday) until the budget is exhausted. [2. Eligible Applicants] Corporations must have their headquarters or principal office in Marugame City, be classified as an SME, and have a record of paying corporate municipal tax to Marugame City (excluding new establishments). Individuals must be registered residents of Marugame City. Applicants must conduct work in environments with WBGT values of 28 degrees or higher or temperatures of 31 degrees or higher for a continuous hour or more than 4 hours per day. Applicants cannot be in arrears on municipal taxes, must belong to industries eligible for guarantees by the Kagawa Prefecture Credit Guarantee Association (including agriculture/forestry/fisheries), and must not fall under Article 4 Paragraph 2 of the Marugame City Subsidy Grant Regulations. Operators who fail to take measures under Article 606 of the Industrial Safety and Health Regulations are ineligible. [3. Eligible Expenses] Three categories: (1) fan-equipped work clothing, cooling work clothing, fan-equipped helmets or heat protection drapes; (2) WBGT meters conforming to JIS Z 8504 or JIS B 7922; (3) portable spot coolers. Excluded: Article 606 measure costs for owned/occupied work sites, consumption tax, transfer fees, ordinary business-activity expenses, and any expenses contrary to public order/morals. [4. Subsidy Rate / Cap / Schedule / Application Tips] Rate is up to 2/3 of eligible expenses (rounded down to nearest 1,000 yen), with a 100,000 yen cap. Applications open April 1, 2026 on a rolling basis until budget runs out. Limited to one application per operator per fiscal year; expenses incurred before approval are ineligible, so apply before starting any purchases. Submit Form 1 grant application and Form 2 budget with required attachments before implementation, and a Form 7 completion report after. Status surveys may be conducted for up to 5 years post-grant.
