Manufacturing Companies Women's Empowerment Support Subsidy (FY2026)

①Overview: This subsidy is provided by Fukui Prefecture Industrial Labor Department's Industrial Technology Division to support manufacturing companies that actively work on creating workplaces where women can thrive, aiming to improve employee motivation, productivity, and talent retention through women's empowerment. The FY2026 application period starts on April 30, 2026, with rolling first-come-first-served acceptance within the budget. ②Eligible Applicants: Small and medium-sized enterprises with business establishments in Fukui Prefecture operating in manufacturing, registered as a Fukui Women's Empowerment Promotion Company (individual proprietors exempt). Applicants must meet at least one of: one or more female managers, one or more new female regular employees, one or more employees taking 1+ month childcare leave, annual training for women's career advancement, or annual company awareness reform training. Must have no tax arrears and not have previously received this subsidy. ③Eligible Expenses: Facility/equipment improvement costs (construction, equipment installation, equipment purchase 100,000 yen+, communication costs), information dissemination costs (outsourcing, PR, printing), and other expenses recognized as necessary. Examples include women-only toilets, changing rooms, lactation rooms, power-assist suits, equipment updates suitable for women, and women's empowerment website/advertising/video production. ④Subsidy Rate, Cap, Schedule, Key Points: Rate of 2/3 with a maximum of 2,000,000 yen. Project period runs from grant decision date to February 12, 2027; completion report due within one month of completion or by February 26, 2027, whichever is earlier. Expenditures of 100,000 yen+ require competitive quotations from multiple vendors. Required documents include the application form, implementation plan, budget, pledge, tax certificates, quotes, financial statements, Fukui Women's Empowerment registration certificate, and creditor/debtor registration form.
