Summary

(1) Overview: Maebashi City's Downtown Vacant Property Rebuild Subsidy funds renovation of vacant houses, shops, and buildings within the Maebashi Urban Design Area (approx. 158 ha) to re-lease them or open tenant recruitment. (2) Applicants: Owners of vacant property in the area, or registered Renovation Partner businesses leasing such property. Must understand the Urban Design plan, have no overdue municipal tax, hold required licenses, comply with laws, and meet all eight organized-crime exclusion rules. (3) Expenses: Renovation costs incl. debris removal, demolition, interior/exterior work, plumbing, electrical, drawing/survey fees, real-estate registration, appraisal, surveying. Tax-exclusive; in-city contractors as a rule. Excluded: duplicate subsidies, pre-application work, consumption tax. (4) Rate/Cap/Schedule: Up to 1/2 of eligible expenses. Cap JPY 500,000 with confirmed tenant, JPY 400,000 when undecided. Up to 3 applications per business per FY. Period Apr 1, 2026 - Feb 28, 2027; completion by Mar 31, 2027. File before starting work.
