Komatsu City Nariwai (Livelihood) Reconstruction Support Subsidy
Summary
1) Program overview: The Komatsu City Nariwai (Livelihood) Reconstruction Support Subsidy is a municipal top-up subsidy provided in addition to the Ishikawa Prefecture Nariwai Reconstruction Support Subsidy. It is intended to help business operators in Komatsu City whose facilities or operations were damaged by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake (令和6年能登半島地震) recover and resume operations more quickly by further reducing their self-funded cost burden. 2) Eligible applicants: Applicants must (i) have already received a confirmation notice (額の確定通知) for the Ishikawa Prefecture Nariwai Reconstruction Support Subsidy, and (ii) have their main business location within Komatsu City. Eligibility is also limited to cases where the prefectural subsidy application is filed by 31 March 2026 and the supported project (final report) is completed by 31 March 2027. 3) Eligible expenses and benefit: The municipal top-up is calculated against the confirmed amount of the Ishikawa prefectural subsidy. When the prefectural portion is a fixed amount, the portion of the confirmed amount that exceeds the fixed amount is multiplied by the applicable municipal rate; any fraction below 1,000 yen is rounded down. 4) Rate, ceiling, schedule and key application points: The subsidy rate is 2/15 of the confirmed prefectural amount (1/5 for medium-sized enterprises and equivalent), with a ceiling of JPY 1,000,000. The application window runs from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2027. Required documents include Form No.1 (combined application / final report / payment request), copies of the prefectural subsidy confirmation notice, the previously submitted final report, the business-result report, and a power of attorney when the payment account is not in the applicant's name. Submissions go to the Commerce & Labor Division of Komatsu City Hall by post or in person.
