Kitakyushu Next-Generation Smart Building Construction Promotion Subsidy

① Overview:Kitakyushu City established this subsidy on August 1, 2021 to promote next-generation rentable office buildings around JR Kokura and JR Kurosaki stations, supporting renewal, IT attraction, SDGs, and zero-carbon goals ② Applicants:Eligible applicants are city office-building construction businesses. The project must be a new build or rebuild within one kilometer of either station, not renovation only, with rentable offices of at least 100 tsubo per floor and 500 tsubo total. ③ Costs: Eligible costs are design, building work, and equipment work. Land, other-subsidy-covered costs, and tax are excluded. OA floors, infection control, digital technology, environmental measures, and landscape consideration are required. ④ Rate/schedule: The subsidy is 20/100 of eligible cost times the rentable-office floor-area ratio, capped at 1 billion yen. Construction must start from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2027. Applicants consult the city and submit a business plan 30 days before work.
