Summary

(1) Overview: The Kashihara City Business Improvement Support Subsidy is a top-up subsidy provided by Kashihara City (Nara Prefecture) on top of the national Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare "Business Improvement Subsidy" (Gyomu Kaizen Joseikin). It supports small and medium-sized enterprises in the city that invest in productivity improvements and wage increases for low-wage workers, by partially covering the self-funded portion not covered by the national subsidy. FY2026 receipt began April 1, 2026, with some forms revised. (2) Eligible applicants: SMEs whose main business establishment is in Kashihara City at the time of application, who have received a determination of subsidy amount and payment decision notice from the Nara Labour Bureau for the national Business Improvement Subsidy between March 1, 2026 and February 26, 2027, who do not operate businesses subject to the Entertainment Business Act, who are not organized crime affiliates, and who have no municipal tax arrears. Prior receipt of the national subsidy is mandatory. (3) Eligible expenses and content: The subsidy amount equals the project cost (already approved under the national Business Improvement Subsidy) minus the determined national subsidy amount — i.e., the applicant's self-funded portion. Required documents include the city's Form 1 (combined application and performance report), Form 2 (pledge and consent), copies of the national subsidy's decision notice, final-amount notice, performance report, settlement statement, and project results report, plus a municipal tax non-arrears certificate. (4) Rate, cap, schedule, application points: The cap is JPY 100,000 (within the self-funded amount). Receipt runs April 1, 2026 (Wed) to March 12, 2027 (Fri), but may close early when budget is exhausted. Applications are accepted only at the Regional Promotion Division counter (1-1-18 Yagi-cho, Kashihara, North Bldg 2F) on a first-come basis; mail/online submission is not accepted. Forms with missing entries or documents will be refused, so applicants must prepare the full set of national-subsidy documents and a tax certificate in advance. After approval, payment is requested via Form 4 with bank account verification.
