Kagoshima Prefecture FY2026 Space Business Research and Development Support Subsidy

1. Overview: Kagoshima Prefecture supports R&D for space business entry, including space equipment tests, satellite image analysis trials, and space-themed business creation. About three projects are expected. 2. Eligible applicants: Applicants are Kagoshima SMEs or teams formed by SMEs, large companies, municipalities, universities, research institutions or other bodies. The team representative must be a Kagoshima SME. Anti-social ties, unpaid prefectural tax, duplicate subsidies, and political or religious bodies are excluded. 3. Expenses: Eligible costs include materials, satellite data, analysis software, machinery or tool leases, outsourced processing and verification, external analysis, technical guidance, IP license fees, direct R&D personnel costs and outsourcing. Pre-decision costs are excluded. 4. Rate and schedule: The rate is up to 10/10 and the cap is 1,000,000 yen. Applications close at 5 p.m. on June 19, 2026; questions close June 10. Reports are due February 26, 2027.
