Iwate Educational Travel Implementation Emergency Support Subsidy
Summary
(1) Program Overview: The Iwate Educational Travel Implementation Emergency Support Subsidy is operated by Iwate Prefecture to support lodging facilities and chartered bus operators in Iwate that host overnight school-curriculum educational trips (excursions, group lodging events, nature/disaster/international-understanding study trips, etc.). (2) Applicants: A consortium led by a travel agency (representative applicant) with lodging operators and chartered bus operators as co-applicants is the standard form; if the travel agency declines, lodging or bus operators may apply individually using Form 2-2 (pledge) and Form 8 (certification + non-participation declaration), or Form 9 if no travel agency is involved. Eligible recipients are lodging operators or chartered bus operators. (3) Subsidy Content: Lodging subsidy = number of eligible overnight persons x 1,000 yen per person-night (e.g., 22 persons x 2 nights = 44,000 yen); chartered bus subsidy is calculated based on the number of nights stayed at Iwate lodging facilities. Accompanying teachers and school nurses are included; tour conductors, bus drivers and photographers are excluded. Eligible schools include elementary, junior-high, compulsory education, high schools, secondary education schools, special-needs schools, technical colleges and accredited misc. schools. At least one overnight stay at an Iwate lodging facility is required. (4) Rate, Cap, Schedule & Application Tips: No per-operator cap is set; applications are reviewed in order of receipt within the budget. The schedule splits into retroactive portions (stays from 2025-09-30 to 2026-04-30, report 2026-05-01 to 06-30; stays 2026-05-01 to 05-31, report 2026-06-01 to 07-15) and regular portions (from 2026-06-01: apply 14 days before start, report within 30 days). Required forms include Form 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, lodger list copies and operation logs.
