Summary

(1) Overview: The Ino Town Business LED Lighting Introduction Promotion Subsidy aims to reduce electricity cost burden on local businesses affected by rising prices, suppress CO2 emissions, and promote energy saving and global warming countermeasures by supporting expenses of corporations and sole proprietors who introduce LED lighting fixtures at their offices and factories. Applications are accepted from April 6, 2026 (Reiwa 8) and must be submitted by the end of June 2026. (2) Eligible Applicants: Corporations or sole proprietors located in Ino Town earning business income with intent to continue operations, who have been continuously operating for at least one year. Operators must be town residents or corporations with all town taxes paid in full, must not be engaged in adult entertainment business, must not be a political organization or religious body, must not be receiving similar subsidies from national/prefectural or other public bodies for the same project, and must not be associated with organized crime. (3) Eligible Expenses and Content: Eligible equipment includes LED lighting fixtures registered as Green Purchasing Law compliant products (G-mark) or LED fixtures verified to meet environmental standards through product specifications. Eligible expenses cover purchase and installation work, ancillary equipment, design, and removal/disposal of existing lighting. Consumption tax, in-house products/installation are excluded. Replacement of existing fixtures is required (bulb/tube-only replacements and portable units excluded); residential premises are excluded. Total eligible expenses must be 100,000 yen or more (excluding tax), and installation work must not have started at application time. (4) Subsidy Rate, Cap, Schedule, Application Tips: Rates and caps differ by contractor and applicant type: in-town contractor cases get 3/4 rate with caps of 1,500,000 yen for corporations and 500,000 yen for sole proprietors; out-of-town contractor cases get 1/2 rate with caps of 1,000,000 yen and 200,000 yen respectively (truncated to nearest 1,000 yen). Application uses Form 1 with attachments per Schedule 2 (design drawings, quotations, catalogs, pre-installation photos, business continuity certificate, ID, tax payment certificate, landlord consent for tenants). Achievement report must be filed within 30 days of completion or by March 10, 2027, whichever is earlier. Subsidy is granted only once.
