Imabetsu Town Specialty Product Development Subsidy

Project overview: This Imabetsu Town subsidy helps businesses and groups develop specialty products that promote the town to visitors. Products include local foods, cuisine, crafts, souvenirs, farm and fishery goods, commercial goods, and other materials approved by the mayor. Eligible applicants: Applicants must have an address in Imabetsu Town, work on specialty product development, and be approved by the mayor. A business or group that receives a grant decision cannot apply again for two years. Eligible costs: Covered projects include group development and product development. Costs may include study visits, research, market surveys, contests, tasting events, raw materials, design, trademarks, packaging, advertising, and in-town provision place improvements. Rate and schedule: The subsidy rate is 100 percent, rounded below 1,000 yen, with a cumulative cap of 500,000 yen per business or group. Applications start on April 1, 2026, and projects must be completed by March 31, 2027.
