Iizuka City Overseas Expansion Support Subsidy (FY2026)
Summary
1. Overview: The Iizuka City Overseas Expansion Support Subsidy is a Fukuoka prefecture municipal subsidy designed to promote overseas business expansion by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in Iizuka City. It supports activities aimed at developing new sales channels outside Japan, including independent company activities and activities leveraging public support organizations such as national administrative agencies, independent administrative institutions, Fukuoka Asia Business Center, economic organizations, and others specially approved by the Mayor. 2. Eligible Recipients: SMEs as defined in Article 2(1) of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Basic Act, with their principal place of business or office located within Iizuka City. Excluded are those delinquent on city taxes, organized crime groups (boryokudan), their members, and parties having close relations with them. 3. Eligible Expenses and Support: Eligible expenses cover travel (transportation, lodging), administrative expenses (communications/shipping, exhibition fees including seminars and online exhibitions, booth rental, interpretation/translation, printing, advertising, participation fees, registration fees), outsourcing costs for sales-channel-development activities, and other expenses specially recognized by the Mayor. Consumption tax is included in eligible expenses. 4. Subsidy Rate, Cap, Schedule, and Application Points: Independent activities (including private support orgs) receive 1/2 within JPY 100,000. Activities using public support orgs receive: full amount if expenses under JPY 20,000; JPY 20,000 if expenses JPY 20,000–30,000; up to 2/3 within JPY 100,000 if expenses JPY 30,000+. The annual cumulative cap per subsidized entity is JPY 100,000. Applications may combine the two types within that cap. Expenses paid in foreign currency are converted at the payment-date exchange rate; amounts under JPY 1,000 are rounded down. Project must start after grant decision and finish within the fiscal year. Application requires submission of a grant application form with supporting documents to the Mayor, followed by a completion report.
