Summary
This Hokkaido program supports hiring in shortage occupations at workplaces in Hokkaido. It is a fixed-payment incentive. A worker unemployed for at least one month may qualify after working 20 hours or more per week and completing 31 days of service by August 15, 2026. Eligible workers must be at least 18, not new graduates, and not technical intern trainees or foreign nationals without work authorization. Covered work includes medical, childcare, sales, care, cooking, security, manufacturing, maintenance, driving, and construction. Eligible employers are corporations or sole proprietors with a head office, main office, or workplace in Hokkaido. They must post a new eligible vacancy on or after February 20, 2026, directly employ the worker, and comply with labor laws.
