Hachinohe Central Shopping District Vacant Store/Floor Reduction Subsidy (FY2026)

(1) Hachinohe City FY2026 Central Shopping District Vacant Store Reduction Subsidy. Subsidizes renovation costs for businesses newly opening in vacant stores/floors unused 3+ months in the central shopping district, supporting the 4th Central City Revitalization Plan. (2) Eligible: individuals/corporations in retail, food service, lifestyle services, community business, or other foot-traffic businesses. Must operate 5+ days/week year-round, meet hour rules by type, no tax arrears, in principle relocate from outside central area, hold valid permits; not linked to organized crime, franchise, adult entertainment, political/religious activity. (3) Eligible expenses: interior/exterior, plumbing, HVAC, signage, electrical renovation; building-integrated fixtures; for 1F stores, eave stay-space facilities. Excluded: admin, design, advertising, consumables, equipment, pre-application work. (4) 1/3 of expenses, max JPY 1M. Deadline Jan 29 2027. Contract within 60 days or by Mar 1 2027; renovation within FY2026. Report by Apr 10 2027. 2+ year operation duty; status reports at 1 and 2 years.
