Goto City Inbound Tourism Promotion Subsidy
Summary
(1) Overview: The Goto City (Nagasaki) Inbound Tourism Promotion Subsidy subsidizes part of the cost local businesses incur in building a multilingual reception environment for foreign tourists. Period: April 1, 2026 to March 10, 2027. Applications close when the budget is exhausted. (2) Applicants: shipping operators, passenger motor-transport operators, lodging operators, food-service operators, experience-content providers, retailers, and other operators with facilities used by foreign tourists. All must have a place of business in Goto City; adult-entertainment businesses are excluded. (3) Eligible projects/expenses: multilingualization of pamphlets, the applicant's website, and on-site signage. Eligible costs: planning/design, pamphlet creation/printing, website creation (excluding maintenance), signage, and translation. Consumption tax is not eligible. (4) Rate, cap, schedule: subsidy is up to 1/2 of eligible expenses (rounded down to nearest JPY 1,000). Per-project caps JPY 100k/300k/200k; per-applicant total cap JPY 600,000. Multilingual websites must retain booking functionality. Required: application form, plan (Form 1), budget (Form 2), quotation, tax-arrears proof, anti-organized-crime pledge.
