FY2026 SME Competitiveness Enhancement Promotion Project (Consultant Invitation Support Program)
Summary
This Hokkaido subsidy program supports SMEs in the region that invite specialist consultants, technical experts, and skilled technicians to support technology development, new market entry, decarbonization initiatives, and digital transformation. Eligible applicants include SMEs and SME groups with principal or branch offices in Hokkaido. Covered expenses include consultant fees (up to ¥200,000 per day), accommodation, and round-trip transportation costs for activities related to technical development, production management, and marketing improvement. The subsidy targets technology acquisition in testing, research, analysis, inspection, evaluation, process improvements, and feasibility studies. Eligible activities exclude machine equipment adjustment, operation methods training, and general management skill development. All applicant SMEs must have operational records in Hokkaido and comply with related regulations. Applications are accepted from May 7 to June 19, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Program menus cannot be combined, and applications via J-Grants are not accepted.
