FY2026 "Small and Medium Enterprise Competitiveness Promotion Business" (Industrial Human Resource Development Support Project [Disp)]
Summary
This Hokkaido program supports workforce development for SMEs pursuing new business domains and markets, subsidizing employee and executive dispatch expenses for skill acquisition. Eligible organizations include SMEs with principal offices or business locations in Hokkaido, SME groups, and Hokkaido branch offices of companies headquartered outside the prefecture. The subsidy covers tuition, fees, accommodation, and round-trip transportation costs for training at advanced companies, training institutions, professional graduate schools, or vocational development facilities, with a maximum of ¥500,000 per person. Applicants must meet SME criteria under the Credit Insurance Law, and the eligible dispatch period is from the training start date to end date within the fiscal year. Applications are accepted from May 7 to June 19, 2026 (5 PM deadline), and this program cannot be combined with other business menu options.
