Summary

This is the FY2026 Saijo City GX Management Promotion Support Subsidy, administered by Saijo City (Ehime Prefecture) through Saijo Industrial Information Support Center Co., Ltd. It exists to help local SMEs introduce equipment that reduces CO2 emissions, in response to rising energy prices and decarbonisation demands. The project must end by January 29, 2027 and equipment must be installed at a Saijo-City site. Eligible applicants must satisfy BOTH (A) and (B). (A) be an SME under the Small and Medium Enterprise Basic Act / Enhancement of Management Act with head office or business establishment in Saijo City — joint-stock, GK, GS, gomei, yugen-kaisha, professional-services corporations, sole proprietors, enterprise-cooperatives, business-cooperative-associations, etc. — meeting capital or employee thresholds (manufacturing/construction/transport: capital ≤ JPY 300 million OR ≤ 300 employees; wholesale: ≤ JPY 100 million / ≤ 100; services: ≤ JPY 50 million / ≤ 100; retail: ≤ JPY 50 million / ≤ 50). (B) have received advice from a city-appointed GX Coordinator via an online consultation, attendance at a GX management seminar, or the city's GX hands-on accompaniment support. So-called 'deemed-large-enterprises', adult-entertainment businesses, organised-crime affiliates, political/religious-purpose businesses, national/local civil servants, applicants with unpaid municipal taxes, those lacking required permits, and those receiving the same type of support elsewhere are NOT eligible. Eligible expenses cover (1) equipment costs for decarbonisation-related machinery — air conditioning, LED lighting, boilers, refrigeration units, energy management systems and similar business-use equipment — and (2) installation costs (installation, working-at-heights, transport) where they can be clearly distinguished from out-of-scope work. The applicant must compute annual CO2 emissions before and after introduction, and submit numerical evidence (catalogues, actual measurements, nameplate photographs). Used equipment, spare-parts purchases, items with high general-purpose value (vehicles, PCs, tablets, TVs), photovoltaic generation and storage batteries, existing-equipment demolition/transport/disposal, indirect costs (consumption tax, transfer fees, postage, communication fees) are excluded. The subsidy rate is up to 1/2 with an upper cap of JPY 1,000,000 per applicant and a floor of JPY 200,000 (one application per applicant per year, rounded down by JPY 1,000). The application window is June 1, 2026 (Mon) to December 18, 2026 (Fri) by post-stamp date, ending earlier if the budget is exhausted. Required documents include the Application Form (Form 1), Pledge & Power-of-Attorney (Form 2), Business Plan (Form 3), the Consultation Sheet, the CO2 calculation sheet plus numerical evidence, equipment specification/exterior documents, an itemised quotation, photographs of installation sites, financial statements / tax returns, and (where applicable) the Advance-Start Notice (Form 4). All submissions are sent by post to Saijo Industrial Information Support Center, 131-2 Akeyashiki, Saijo City; in-person submission is NOT accepted. The implementation report is due within 30 days of project completion or by January 29, 2027, whichever is earlier. Contact: TEL 0897-53-0010.
