FY2026 (Reiwa 8) Human Resource Development Support Subsidy

(1) Overview: This program by Sabae City (Fukui Pref.) subsidizes part of the cost of public training seminars taken by employees of local SMEs, in order to support human resource development. The FY2026 application window is April 1, 2026 to February 26, 2027. Applications must be filed BEFORE the training starts. (2) Eligible applicants: SMEs whose principal place of business is within Sabae City. Applicants must submit articles of incorporation (or the group's rules) and a tax-payment-completion certificate (original) showing no municipal-tax arrears. A maximum of 3 attendees per single seminar may be claimed. (3) Eligible expenses and content: Seminar tuition fees and required textbook costs (calculated tax-exclusive). The training must be one delivered by national bodies, the prefecture, the Fukui Industrial Support Center or equivalent public organizations. Required forms: Form No.1 (Application), Form No.2 (Business Plan), Human-Resource-Development Plan, Form No.3 (Budget). A curriculum/pamphlet showing the seminar content must be attached. (4) Rate, ceiling and process: Subsidy rate is up to 1/2 of eligible expenses; upper limit JPY 100,000 (rounded down to the nearest thousand yen). Process: submit documents -> city issues a Grant Decision Notice -> after the project ends, submit the Performance Report (incl. Performance Report, Subsidy Payment Claim using the city form, attendance/completion certificate, and supporting documents) -> after review, funds are remitted to the designated bank account.
