①Overview: Ota City Manufacturing-Industry Talent-Retention Scholarship Repayment Support partially reimburses scholarship-loan repayments (half the amount, up to JPY 100,000/year, max 5 years = 60 months = up to JPY 500,000 total) for people who joined small/medium manufacturers, transporters or construction firms in Ota Ward. From FY2026, the application window has been relaxed to "from offer-acceptance through the March 31 following 3 years after the join date." ②Eligible applicants: At both pre-certification and grant application: (1) continuously resident in Ota Ward (under 40 as of March 31 of the fiscal year of pre-application), (2) newly hired full-time on/after 2023-04-01 by an eligible employer and continuing to work there, (3) currently or planning to repay an eligible scholarship loan. Eligible employer: SME under the SME Basic Act (capital ≤ JPY 300M or ≤ 300 employees; sole proprietorships excluded) with primary business in manufacturing, transport or construction, with work site at an Ota-Ward HQ or office. ③Eligible expenses & benefit content: Eligible scholarships are JASSO Type 1 / Type 2, Kotsu-iji-ikueikai, Ashinaga-ikueikai, and other local-government/school loans. The grant period counts months where all three overlap: ① Ota Ward residence, ② eligible employer, ③ scholarship repayment. ④Rate, ceiling, schedule, application pointers: Half of repaid scholarship amount, JPY 100,000/year cap (round down to JPY 1,000), max 5 years = 60 months = JPY 500,000 total. Pre-Application (online): from offer-acceptance through 3-year-post-join March 31. Documents: Pre-Certification Form + Resident Registry copy + employment confirmation + scholarship loan certificate + commercial registry. Annual Status Report + Grant Application: April-June each FY2027 onward. Documents: Status Report/Application + Resident Registry (only if changed) + Employment Certificate + previous-year repayment record. Payment from April 2027 onward.
