FY2026 Oita Tourism Community Co-Creation Subsidy
Summary
①Overview: The FY2026 Oita Tourism Community Co-Creation Subsidy supports area-wide tourism product development that leverages the prefecture's attractive tourism resources (nature, history/culture, food) to extend tourist stays and expand tourism consumption, contributing to sustainable community development. The Tourism Oita Foundation Chairman certifies project plans and disburses the subsidy. ②Eligible applicants: (1) Private operators running tourism-related facilities in Oita, (2) Oita municipalities, tourism associations, DMOs, ryokan unions etc., (3) Consortia composed of the above or other groups recognized by the Chairman. Excluded: organized crime members, organized crime groups, those with close ties. ③Eligible expenses & benefit content: Multi-municipality tourism product development initiatives by multiple tourism operators recognized by the Chairman. Certification considers: (1) appeal of project content, (2) tourism attraction and consumption to Oita, (3) regional economic contribution, (4) specificity of implementation system, (5) cost-effectiveness, (6) implementation schedule, (7) marketing data utilization. When the project has revenue (admission fees, booth fees, participation fees, sales), the subsidy is computed by deducting that revenue from eligible expenses before applying the rate. ④Rate, ceiling, schedule, application pointers: Rate and ceiling specified in Appendix 2 (not visible in the implementation guidelines raw; consult the separate subsidy grant guidelines). Amount rounded down to nearest JPY 1,000. Submit Form 1 (Project Plan Certification Application) with Form 2 (Project Plan), basis documents (estimates), Form 3 (Consent, for consortium), Form 4 (Pledge), activity documentation for voluntary groups, and other documents to the Chairman. Cooperation with post-implementation status/outcome reporting is required.
