FY2026 Kaminoyama Individual Store Appeal Creation Support Subsidy
Summary
The FY2026 Kaminoyama Individual Store Appeal Creation Support Subsidy supports part of the costs of initiatives by sole proprietors, SMEs, and similar local operators in Kaminoyama City. Eligible initiatives include development of new products or services, improvement of existing products, market development, and productivity improvement. The purpose is to help individual stores and small businesses strengthen their appeal, improve operations, and create new value within the city. The program is implemented within the city budget under the FY2026 guideline effective April 1, 2026. Eligible applicants are SMEs, including sole proprietors, that have their head office or main place of business in Kaminoyama City, as well as NPOs, cooperatives, shopping street groups, and other voluntary organizations. Projects formed by two or more qualifying citizens, corporations, or organizations are also eligible. Eligible industries are broad, including construction, manufacturing, information and communications, transport, wholesale and retail, real estate, professional services, lodging and food services, personal services, education, medical and welfare, and other services, although certain adult entertainment, gambling, political, religious, and other excluded categories are not eligible. Eligible costs include honoraria for expert advice, travel for experts or staff training, materials directly used for prototypes or sale products, lease, rental, or purchase of machinery and equipment, outsourcing for market research, custom product development, website creation, advertising such as flyers, and meeting-related office costs such as venue fees, documents, and consumables. Material costs are limited to 10 percent of total eligible costs excluding tax. Land or building acquisition, construction, renovation, and highly general-purpose items that may be used outside the project are excluded. The subsidy amount is the lower of one half of project costs or 200,000 yen, with amounts below 1,000 yen rounded down. Neither the guideline nor the official page states a fixed application deadline, so the program is treated as open while published, but it is subject to budget availability. Application documents include the grant application form, project plan, budget statement, estimates and current photos, resident certificate or corporate registry certificate, certificate of no city tax arrears, and other materials required by the mayor. After completion, the performance report is due by the earlier of 15 days after completion or April 10, 2027.
