FY2026 Kagoshima City Zero-Carbon Promotion (Solar PV) Subsidy

①Overview: Kagoshima City subsidizes installation of solar PV systems and HEMS to expand renewable energy and achieve zero CO2 emissions by 2050 ("Zero-Carbon City Kagoshima"). For FY2026, applications open 2026-04-13, solar PV on trucks is newly eligible, subsidy amounts have been revised. ②Eligible applicants: No city-tax delinquency and meeting the requirements for one of: Individual Residence, Individual Residence (Rental), Communal Housing, Business Office, or Truck. Already-subsidized parties in the same category are excluded. Except trucks, the installer must be a Kagoshima-headquartered/branch business. ③Eligible expenses & benefit content: Eligible systems are (1) Solar PV (<10kW, unused, no full-feed-in, in Kagoshima), (2) HEMS, (3) Li-ion battery (SII registered), (4) household fuel cell (FCA registered), (5) V2H charge/discharge equipment, (6) EV charging equipment. HEMS, battery, fuel cell, V2H, EV charging must be installed simultaneously with a new PV system. ④Rate, ceiling, schedule, application pointers: Solar PV JPY 15,000/kW (caps: Residence/Communal 150K; Business 300K; Environmental Management Business 30,000/kW cap 600K; Truck 1/4 cap 150K); HEMS 10K; Li-ion 50K; Fuel cell 50K; V2H 50K; EV charger 1/2 cap 50K. Application 2026-04-13 to 2027-03-31, closes when budget reached. In-person delivery to the Environmental Policy Division (mail and branch-office delivery NOT accepted for application).
