FY2026 Kagoshima City Zero-Carbon Promotion (Energy Saving Equipment) Subsidy

①Overview: Kagoshima City Zero-Carbon Promotion (Energy Saving) Subsidy supports operators that introduce energy-saving equipment meeting top-runner standards, to promote energy savings in the city and achieve zero CO2 emissions by 2050 (Zero-Carbon City Kagoshima). ②Eligible applicants: (1) Operators with no city-tax delinquency, (2) NOT designated as a specified business under Article 7 of the Energy Conservation Act (prior-year energy use in crude-oil equivalent below 1,500 kL), (3) Agree to report energy-saving effects to the city for 3 years after the fiscal year of project implementation and cooperate with city's public disclosure. Already-subsidized parties and projects not installed by Kagoshima-headquartered/branch businesses are excluded. ③Eligible expenses & benefit content: Eligible projects: (1) energy-saving equipment specified in a CO2-reduction plan (Zero-Carbon Plan) prepared within the past 3 years by an energy expert, (2) self-owned and self-used equipment (lease not eligible), (3) replacement of existing equipment, (4) new equipment meeting top-runner standards, (5) installation by Kagoshima-based business. Eligible costs: purchase and installation of energy-saving equipment (excluding disposal of existing equipment and consumption tax). ④Rate, ceiling, schedule, application pointers: For non-lighting equipment: 1/2 rate, JPY 1,000,000 cap. For lighting equipment: 1/3 rate, JPY 500,000 cap. Application 2026-05-13 to 2027-02-26 (Environmental Policy Division counter only). No branch-office or mail acceptance. First-come basis. Construction/order before grant decision notice = no subsidy. Implementation report due ≤30 days after completion or by 2027-03-31, whichever earlier.
