1) Project overview: Fukushima Prefecture provides this subsidy, within budget, for installing residential solar PV systems, storage batteries, and V2H (vehicle-to-home) equipment within the prefecture. The scheme operates under the 'FY2026 Fukushima Residential Solar PV Equipment Introduction Support Subsidy Implementation Guideline'. Two cases are funded: (1) installation of new residential solar PV (to promote in-prefecture deployment of renewable energy), and (2) addition of a storage battery or V2H system to an existing solar PV setup that is NOT under a Feed-In-Tariff (FIT) electricity contract (including FIT contracts whose period has expired), to promote effective use of renewable energy. 2) Target applicants: Eligible recipients are individuals (including sole proprietors), corporations, or building-management persons (defined under Article 25(1) of the condominium law) who install the eligible system AND satisfy ALL of the following: (i) installed an eligible system at a residence in the prefecture, or purchased a residence with eligible system installed from a builder/seller in the prefecture (excluding zero-initial-cost models and lease installations); (ii) have no overdue prefectural taxes; (iii) are not gang members or affiliated business operators. Corporations/sole proprietors are eligible provided the building's registry is 'residential', and the PV module/PCS rated output is under 10 kW. 3) Eligible expenses / subsidy content: Three system types: (a) Solar PV — under 10 kW, unused panels/PCS, connection contract concluded between 1 April 2025 and 12 March 2027, no prior receipt of this subsidy for solar PV; (b) Battery storage — registered under the national SII subsidy framework, attached to an under-10-kW PV system without active FIT contract; (c) V2H — registered with the Next Generation Vehicle Promotion Center, attached to under-10-kW PV system without active FIT contract. Eligible expenses cover modules, mounts, PCS (inverter/protection), peripherals (junction box, switches), installation work (wiring, electrical, safety), batteries, V2H equipment, and respective installation work. 4) Subsidy rate / cap / schedule / application points: Solar PV: 40,000 yen × kW (truncated below 2 decimals), cap 160,000 yen. Battery: 40,000 yen × kWh, cap 200,000 yen. V2H: fixed-amount, cap 100,000 yen. Application window: 20 May 2026 — 12 March 2027, first-come first-served until budget exhausted. Submission requires Form 1 (application form) plus: applicant's resident certificate (for corporations, certificate of company registration), Fukushima prefectural tax non-arrears certificate, copy of bankbook for subsidy transfer, Fukushima J-Credit Club entry form (or non-entry reason letter), plus system-specific attachments (utility contract docs, purchase/work contract, receipts, output comparison tables, color photos of installation, building registry, owner consent letter if not own building). Only one of battery or V2H is permitted per applicant.
