FY2026 Energy-Efficient Non-Fluorocarbon Equipment Promotion Program
Summary
① Overview: Tokyo subsidizes new energy-efficient, non-fluorocarbon refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment installed at Tokyo business sites, covering integral and remote showcases, chillers and refrigeration units. ② Applicants: Large companies, SMEs, sole proprietors and eligible organizations that own or use Tokyo business premises, plus joint lease applicants. Equipment must be new, stationary, use a vapour-compression cycle and generally use natural refrigerants. Homes, commercial refrigerators/freezers and vehicle, vessel or transport units are excluded. ③ Costs: Eligible costs include equipment, transport and installation, necessary construction, qualifying design/testing work and limited removal costs. Tax, refrigerant recovery/disposal, pre-award contracts, used or excessive equipment, building/land work and maintenance are excluded; some categories are unavailable to large companies or integral showcases. ④ Funding: Large companies receive one-half, capped per unit at JPY 2m, 16m or 50m by type. Other eligible applicants receive two-thirds, capped at JPY 2.7m, 22m or 67m. Applications run April 1, 2026–March 31, 2027 at 17:00, subject to budget. Contract only after award and comply with recovery, survey and sticker requirements.
